Day 1: Sezibwa Falls and Mabira Forest Walk
The journey to Jinja goes through beautiful scenery of plantations of sugar and tea, and colorful roadside fruit markets. Our first stopover is Sezibwa falls a beautiful Buganda kingdom cultural site with an interesting legend about origin of the river and Sezibwa falls. On a good day you will find people who come to the traditional healers for blessings and to dispel the curses they believe are disrupting their successes.
Our next stop will be a hike through Mabira Forest; learning about the rich heritage of the Uganda people who lived in the forest and opportunities of sighting or listening to different bird species, beautiful butterflies, primates, and tree species.
Finally, the highlight of your trip – a boat ride to the “Source of the Nile” at the now submerged Rippon Falls. This is where the Nile starts its 4000-mile journey to the Mediterranean Sea from Lake Victoria. The boat ride can take between 30 minutes and one hour. You will be able to see the place where the river Nile starts to separate from the waters of Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa.

DAY 2: Tubing the Nile
Tubing the Nile in Jinja - Uganda allows one to take an adrenaline drift for about 3 hours on the source of the world’s longest river. It’s done on both flat waters and white waters with safety kayakers for people’s safety hence favouring everyone’s interest. For birders, there is a great opportunity of watching quite different species of birds since the vegetation bordering the river is a great accommodation for the birds. On a sunny day, enjoying sunbathing is a great deal and appreciating beautiful scenery while sailing down the river is so unavoidable. We can assure you that there is nothing better than a refreshing float on the pure waters of the River Nile.

Either way, you can be certain that although you may be seated for long periods at times during the trip, you will be passing some spectacular countryside and there will always be something of interest to see along the way!
In case your preferred accommodations get fully booked, Its part of our job to book for you some of the best accommodations that are within the same range as your previously preferred accommodations and of course with your consultation.
