Paraa Safari Lodge
Meet Paraa, the oldest safari lodge in Murchison Falls National Park. Situated in the Northern hemisphere of the park, it is a colonial styled hotel with luxurious amenities of the 21st century. It still has its royal touch of 1955 when it hosted Queen Elizabeth during her tour of Uganda. This beautiful resort is named after hippos that flock the shores of River Nile, and yes, it is possible for you to still see some from the balcony of its rooms. Each (room) offers a unique combination of coziness, relaxation and spirit of exploration.
A dip in its scenic swimming pool after a game drive is much recommended. It offers a great way to cool from the heat, as you take in beautiful views of River Nile, a major setting where one of Hollywood’s classic movies was shot in early 20th century, African Queen.
