Famed for its exquisite gardens that attract countless bird species and location on a beautiful spot overlooking the Albert Nile, Fort Murchison will effortlessly impress you with its impeccable service. Its architectural design is inspired by an isolated outpost from times where Arab merchants regularly visited the African hinterlands. Right around the same time when legendary explorers like John Speke lead expeditions in search of the source of the world’s longest river, River Nile.
Throughout your stay here, your will be treated to gut-friendly food that is prepared in a very good kitchen with a large selection of healthy spices. The lodge’s location at the heart of the park makes it ideal starting point for tours.
It comprises of 12 ensuite units, each of which has a private balcony, spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds, bathrooms with countertop basins and showers with plenty hot water from solar heaters. Its décor is inspired by themes of the African heritage and a touch of Swahili style. In addition to the main accommodation, Fort Murchison also has a more budget option in the form of some non-self-contained tents. They have 2 single beds and share communal ablution blocks.
